Day 26

Day 26 was to Fort Morgan. We left the hotel around 6:30ish after a great breakfast and circle up. Today was 96 miles that honestly didn't feel that long. Leaving Denver was not as bad as we thought it would be.

As we were riding we all to a second to see the mountains we would never see again. It was weird to only have flats and rolling hills out of Denver. Yet towards the end the road got terrible and many people had issues. Bad roads wreak havoc on bikes and specifically the wheels.

When we finished we had to take the vans to shower and afterwards had dinner at the Elk's club. I really loved hearing about all their community service projects and the fact that they were hosting a concert with the Blue Oyster Cult. After our dinner half the group went to see fireworks yet some of us enjoyed just resting before our ride tomorrow to Wray.
