Day 27 to Wray Colorado. We woke up today which a pleasant surprise of delicious food from the Elk's Club. After our circle up we proceed to head of to Wray. During circle up we were warned about seeing 10,000 cows. We all laughed thinking it was a joke. Here's a bit of forshadow, it wasn't,
Today was only an 86 mile day and we enjoyed for the most part flat land riding and lots of corn. About a quarter way through we passes a ton of cows and then again we passed even more cows. It never gets old screaming hey cows! We finished pretty early on and we enjoyed a bit of rest after an amazing crew chief lunch.
Many of the guys and myself enjoyed going to the water park near lodging and we had a blasting going down the slides and watching people just off the diving board. Afterwards we enjoyed a small bit of rest before our friendship visit.
The Cub scouts made dinner for us and they were adorable. There was so much good food and we also enjoyed getting to talk to them before we did a kids on the block presentation. Afterwards we played with the kids for a while before saying our goodbyes.
The facility we were staying in had a hot tub, sauna, and a steam room. I spent some time in each with Reggie before sleeping the night away as I was seriously pooped. Tomorrow is a ride to McCook.
